Distraction Protocol asks players to survive a game until the actual track ends. The song can trash-talk them, count down early, give terrible advice, build pressure, or simply make concentration harder. The player wins by ignoring the noise and staying alive.

As playlists expand, a Distraction Protocol game can carry up to five challenge tracks. PixelPop can remember which songs a player has survived, giving completionists a reason to come back until every track is cleared. A perfect run takes five plays. Most players will need more.
What makes a good challenge track?
- A clean/radio-friendly version suitable for a general-audience arcade.
- A strong opening that gets into the challenge quickly.
- Roughly 1–3 minutes is the sweet spot for repeat attempts.
- Original personality: taunts, fake coaching, countdowns, pressure, comedy, or other concentration-breaking ideas are welcome.
- The real audio ending—not anything said in the lyrics—determines survival.
What you need to submit
- Artist/band name and track title.
- A private or public listening link for review.
- Confirmation that you control the necessary recording/composition rights or are authorized to license the track.
- Clean lyrics and artwork/branding that can appear on a general-audience site.
- After approval, PixelPop can request the final WAV or high-quality master.

The first protocol uses DON'T HIT YOURSELF. The lyrics tell the player to survive two minutes, predict an early crash, yell directions, perform a suspicious countdown, and react when the player survives. The game ignores every fake timing cue. Only the real end of the audio matters.
