Neon Snake: Distraction Protocol is Larry's concentration experiment. Grow the snake while the challenge track tries to break your focus with trash talk, fake timing, bad advice, and whatever else it can get away with. Your job is simple: stay alive until the track actually ends.
Current protocol track: DON’T HIT YOURSELF — Giggle Damage.
Use arrow keys or WASD to steer. Eat the glowing targets, avoid the walls, and do not run into yourself. For this track, surviving alone is not enough: score at least 600 points and do not go more than 20 seconds without feeding Neon Snake. Circling safely without playing the objective will fail the protocol.
The song's countdown is not the clock. The commentary is not reliable. Only the actual end of the track — plus a qualifying run — clears the protocol.
Under the hood, the movement is based on the classic Snake game you already know—PixelPop's version turns it into a music-driven concentration challenge.
Neon Snake: Distraction Protocol is not a generic snake board. It places Larry inside a concentration experiment where movement, growth, commentary, and a synchronized soundtrack compete for attention. The objective is to survive the full active track while continuing to collect targets and avoid the walls and your own trail.
Targets build the normal game score, while the song-length survival objective creates a separate mastery challenge. Pausing the game also pauses the synchronized track so the clock cannot be bypassed.
Use Arrow keys or WASD. This upgraded edition is designed primarily for keyboard play because precise direction changes are central to the challenge.
Why PixelPop picked it: This original PixelPop browser game focuses on survival play under deliberate audio distraction. It is free to play, requires no account, and records the best result locally in the player’s browser.
