Number Pairs rules, scoring and strategy

Number Pairs turns a grid of digits into a clearing puzzle. A valid pair either shows the same number or adds up to ten, but the tiles must also satisfy the game’s placement rules. The goal is to remove the entire board without wasting the limited reshuffles.

Rules and objective

Choose one numbered tile and then a compatible second tile.
Pairs are valid when the values match or total ten.
Cleared spaces remain open and can create new pair opportunities.
A reshuffle rearranges remaining numbers but carries a score cost.

How scoring works

Every successful pair adds to the score, and clearing the complete board awards a larger finish bonus. Reshuffling can rescue a stalled run, but the penalty means it is usually better to scan the grid carefully first.

Strategy tips

Look for rare values first, especially digits with only one obvious partner.
After every clear, rescan the spaces near the removed pair because the board relationship has changed.
Save at least one reshuffle for the final third of the board.
